Voice group: Soprano
Soprano Stefanie Rückel received her first musical training at the Jugendmusikschule Württembergisches Allgäu majoring in violin, piano and percussion. Not until after her graduation from secondary school did she realize that the human voice was her ʹinstrumentʹ and took singing lessons from Elisabeth Daiker. One year later, Stefanie Rückel began her vocal studies at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich with Mariko Sugihara-Fabisch and Nikolaus Hillebrand. In 1997 she concurrently passed her concert examination leading to a diploma in music education at the Musikhochschule in Munich. Supplemental studies with Karii Lövaas followed, as well as classes with Michael Schopper, Joshua Rifkin (Early Music), Donald Sulzen (recital performance) and Julie Kaufman (operatic presentation) rounded off her education.
As a member of various vocal ensembles such as the Süddeutsche Kammerchor, she also gathered experience in the field during her studies. As a soloist today, Stefanie Rückel concentrates primarily on oratorio and recital singing with special emphasis on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Händel.
Stefanie Rückel has been a member of the Bavarian Radio Chorus since 1999.
