Isabella Stettner
Voice group: Soprano
A native of Erding, Isabella Stettner studied voice at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich and with Maria Venuti at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, where she passed her examinations for diplomas as a singer and musician with honors. In addition to the Richard Strauss Medal in 2000, she also received an encouragement prize from the Richard-Strauss-Gesellschaft in Munich. Her prize winner’s concert, accompanied by Wolfgang Sawallisch, was a great success. The singer took part in a variety of master classes with such distinguished artists as Klesie Kelly as well as the Kammersängerin Gundula Janowitz and Christa Ludwig.
She was on the voice faculty at the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz. Isabella Stettner performs primarily in the Munich area, but is also active as a vocal soloist in Karlsruhe, Mannheim and the Frankfurt area, concentrating on soprano solos in the standard oratorio repertoire.
Isabella Stettner has been a member of the Bavarian Radio Chorus since 2008.
